As we gear up for @wycombejazzfestival , now is a great time to let you know that we have ANOTHER big date coming up in just a few months' time. We are bringing our jazz reimaginings of movie soundtracks to @nordenfarm on Sat 19th Sept. Tickets available in our bio
This Friday at Yamas! is going to be a little different…
Our lovely Rob is hosting another special Jazz Fridays night downstairs, this time with MLN bringing a brilliant live jazz-funk set to the bar. Expect everything from Japanese jazz fusion to “jazzified” K-pop, acid jazz grooves, dancey moments, and a few surprises along the way. We will also have some wonderful local guest musicians joining during the night.
Music starts from 8pm. Free entry as always. Come for dinner, stay for the music, and maybe end up dancing with a cocktail in your hand by the piano bar. #yamasrestaurant #yamasgastrobar #tring #jazzfridays
Wow wow and wow, featuring the powerhouse lungs of @laumarie11 , the drumming chops of @paawan_drums , impeccable horn parts by @rob_jazzuk and the low end magic of @incoherentworldofmhaat . And of course @whathappenedtoyourears on keys, who stares at the charts even when just clapping...
Special thanks to @dfrr_uk for DJing and lending his incredible knowledge of music history to the night. Only at @catch22jams baby!!!
I will in fact assert my dominance over the pack 🦓 🦒 🦔
Keep an eye out for Catch22’s northern soul gig next month !!

Wycombe Jazz Festival was started five years ago by Steph, Semper and Mat. It's moving to the Brunel Shed this year and is supported by @wycombearts , @bnuni_ , @buckscouncil , @marlow.studios , @wycombepulse , @wycombesound , @mlnensemble , @catch22jams , @itchysilkcreates and the National Lottery Community Fund.
Who are the team behind this?
Stephanos Karageorgi (first photo) is a freelance musician also originally from London, who has performed in a wide variety of settings and genres. For him, the playful, improvisatory world of jazz is the perfect vehicle for engaging audiences of all ages and bringing them to love music.
Semper Azeez-Harris (second photo) is a music journalist who has worked with the likes of Mixmag, Vice and is the founder of online arts and culture magazine itchysilk.com. Originally from London, he is keen to see jazz culture thrive in Buckinghamshire.
Mateusz Gocek, the third marvel behind all of this, is from Poland via Canterbury. An accomplished self-taught bass guitarist, he developed a love for live music through Imperial College's Jazz and Rock Society. Now based in High Wycombe, he is motivated to bring the same DIY energy and musical curiosity that he experienced at university, to the town in which he now lives.
Great guys doing amazing things.

2025 + BTS : A little snapshot of some music over this last year!
I’d love to say this reflects the last 12 months but honestly, there’s been so many different phases. I want to appreciate the positive moments like these without denying that it’s been hard to watch the world’s state of affairs unfold in the way that they have.
I’m hoping to create more sonic delights this year and share the ups and downs of it all transparently.
If you’re looking for a sax player for your next project, get in touch to explore the possibility of us collaborating :-)
