In 1999, in Brooklyn, I met someone whom to date I consider my brother. Dave is Jewish. We’ve been friends ever since we met and even though we live in different cities we check in. This person is Jewish and he’s family, my family considers him family. He’s slept in my home. He’s eaten countless dinners with us. He has views and I have mine. But we always take care of one another. That’s what I mean when I say look beyond the hate. You all should have a spoon like Dave. This was our exchange tonight.
