An evening of art, culture, and community is coming to the #TampaEDITION.
On June 19th from 8–11PM, Arts Club hosts a special Juneteenth Art Show in collaboration with the Black Art Gala Foundation (@BlackArtGalaFoundation ).
Throughout the evening, guests can explore original artwork by featured artist Melissa Koby (@mkoby_ ). Access is complimentary, with cocktails available à la carte and a portion of proceeds from select offerings benefitting the Black Art Gala Foundation.
My fellow creatives - when you create something, can you see the end result in your head before you get started? Or do you just create and let whatever happens happen?
If I’m being honest, I couldn’t see the end result of this piece when I started. I went through so many versions that I ended up being surprised at where I landed. The doubt didn’t even fully go away until I created this physical piece.
Cutting the paper was the final puzzle piece for me.
