WQSQ 2026 | We are so back! With the new year, comes a new season of MK Modern. If you loved what you saw last fall, and thought about wanting to join, you’re in luck! In the upcoming week we are holding our Winter/Spring season Auditions. These workshops are perfect for getting a feel of what MK Modern is all about and just dancing for fun. WQSQ26 | Meet our directors! We would like to formally introduce the directors of our Winter/Spring 26’ season, Jeffrey Li and Ela Wang! Both of them are strong dancers who will no doubt create a memorable performance at DDR in April. We are extremely excited to see what else they have in store 👀 🧸 Jeffrey Li @jeffreyli.03 “I’m super excited for this upcoming season and for what we have in store for the team! WQSQ26 | Spring Dance Concert If you enjoyed our DDR set “Toy Story,” then mark those calendars! We are pleased to announce that we will performing as a guest at this year’s Spring Dance Concert held by the Department of Theatre and Dance!! Our team will be performing during weekend 1 from May 14-16th. The event will be held at Wright Hall at 7pm on May 14-15th and at 2pm on May 16th! Ticket purchase is required to watch the show and you can buy your tickets at ucdavisaggies.evenue.net (the website can be found in our linktree in our bio). Our wonderful director, Ela Wang @wang.leaaa , will be choreographing our piece to align with the concert’s theme : Relative Motion. Come support our team members and enjoy a performance you won’t want to miss by the whole department 🕺

WQSQ26 | Behind The Scenes 🎥 Have you ever wondered what it’s like during Hell Week with MK Modern? Here is a little glimpse into some of our late night practices in preparation for DDR with our set “Toy Story!” Hell Week if you are wondering, is a team tradition in prep for every competition we have. Monday through Thursday our team dances for hours on end to perfect our set before it hits the big stage. We can not thank our team members enough for all the hard work and dedication they have put, we truly couldn’t have done it without everyone! If you loved what you saw at DDR and are craving to see another MK Modern performance, well you’re in luck 😏 Come catch our guest performance at the Department of Theatre & Dance’s Spring Dance Concert starting TOMORROW May 14th at Wright Hall at 7pm! Our team will be performing up until the end of Weekend 1 May 16th. Ticket purchase is needed to watch the event and they can be bought at ucdavisaggies.evenue.net. WQSQ26 | Friends and Fam It’s time ! Our team has put tremendous amounts of effort into our DDR set. In collaboration with the Tinikling Club @ucdtinikling we’re hosting our Friends and Fam. Come check out our sets with sounds by @ddjkweku !!! We hope to see YOU 🫵 come watch your friends and loved ones on April 16th, 10 PM, on the top level of the Quad Parking Structure. The event is completely free so no reason to miss out on some amazing performances brought to you by your own peers!
