Tears roll down my face because it’s really hard to articulate what happens around Dick and Lorraine.
$21 million raised in one night—but really, it’s Dick and Lorraine every day asking for money.
Asking sports icons to join the fight against kids’ cancer.
$105 million in 21 years. Imagine that legacy.
Please pray for my friend @dickiev_espn as he battles cancer for the fifth time—having the same treatments my son had at age 3.
That’s what gets Dick through.
That’s what makes him never give up.
That’s what makes him keep asking for money from celebs and sports icons.
“87 years young,” as he tells me.
He plans to be here over 100—he told my boys.
Cannon absolutely idolizes Dick.
The funny thing is, Dick idolizes Cannon and all the kids with cancer.
A mutual love and respect like no other.
Today we get time with just the cancer warrior families and celebs at Dick’s house.
We yell at the TV, enjoy the Kentucky Derby fun, and rejoice over the hard work—
until tomorrow, when Dick begins all over again, working on next year’s event.
