@alongmirewriter is an queer negro writer, technologist, and educator from the bad part of North Philadelphia. He is the former contributing editor for @apiarymag , the host of @housepoetphilly , and the founder of _mixlit. He is a board member for @bluestoopphl . You can find Warren’s work in journals including @american_poetry_review , Cartridge Lit, and @prolitmag as well as the Best American Poetry 2021 Anthology. His second full length project, Bird/Diz: An Erased History of Bebop (Bunnie Press), was released in November of 2023.

@jailaibookie is part of the day-to-day operations at monome in upstate NY and a member of the extended universe of @whimsicalraps – dani assembles instruments and creates documentation for ways to engage with them. Their personal projects are centered on coding through improvisation, creating their own environments for playful and exploratory music performance gestures.
⚙️Our July First Fridays is an exciting workshop into how p5js can be used to create digital poetry works with performances featuring Warren C. Longmire with Betty’s Eyes and William Hazard
Participants are invited to bring their own laptops or to come enjoy, interact and absorb, as we dive into an accessible introduction to permacomputing and practice with existing low and no cost software tools to create your own new media works –
The Flat Imagination Workshop is a new media technology workshop and performance series exploring the intersection of programming, electronic music, digital visualization and the written word. Each edition features two artists performers and two workshop sessions diving into the craft behind their work.
