It’s been a minute. In fact, I deleted instagram from my phone because my algorithms are dumb and kept feeding me the death and destruction that our pathetic wannabe cowboy “leaders” have been executing like life is some kind of video game.
Anyway. I’m back briefly to share some good things. Like a piece I’m finishing for the upcoming SF Art Fair. More details on that soon.
Also, if you haven’t yet been to the @paloaltoartcenter to see the Vessels of Change exhibition you have until TOMORROW to get your butts there to see it. It’s a beautiful group show with a lot of folks I admire and I’m proud to be part of it.

I bought this cup during Cheeto Pedo’s first reign of terror thinking it was cute and sassy. Today I heard that the Pride flag was taken down at Stonewall at his direction. This cup has taken on a more serious meaning now. You will not erase us.

Ok, here’s my year’s summary- while the world outside feels very doom and gloom at times, I need to remember how very fortunate I am. Travels with dear friends and family and two museum shows- I have much to be grateful for.
Thank you to each person who was part of the positive. I hope we can all look forward to better things in 2026. 😘

I don’t exactly remember why I had to stop working on this piece a while back, but I finally finished her and it feels good. This past semester and life in general starved me of studio time. So, as I wait for the rain to start, being back in the studio also feels good.

Instructors Mitra Fabian and Rachel Ashman along with Metal Shop Technician MC completed a “lost wax bronze casting” pour to assist students in their projects!
In this project, students responded to the concept of “body”. They made their figures out of wax and after built a mold around the wax. When the mold is done, the wax is burned out and cast in bronze. The process is thus called “lost wax” bronze casting.

It’s been a looooong time since I’ve posted anything besides political bs. But I’m still here. Honestly, I haven’t made a whole lot since returning from Japan. I’ve learned to honor these down times because I need them. But it feels weird in an art world that expects you to create endlessly. I’ve been working on other things- things that don’t have any real tangible results just yet. Reworking my website, which I hate doing in the moment, but I’m grateful for when I see the results. I’ve also been applying to a lot of things (and getting more rejections than invitations, but that’s the way things go. And you just keep going).
