On Tuesday, @unclosetedmedia held its first ever Canadian fundraiser at Torontoâs gorgeous @rcyctoronto . The room was packed and the message was clear: LGBTQ-focused journalism is more important now more than ever. Even Toronto @mayoroliviachow stopped by to underscore the importance of Unclosetedâs work in Canada and the U.S. Mayor Chow has been a staunch ally to the LGBTQ community for more than 40 years. #Canada #Toronto #oliviachow

A brush to transgress.
Artist Drew Sovranâs paintings use only black, white and greys to create strong, unapologetic visual statements about the male body.
The neutral pallet allows him to create a soft boldness.
Itâs a similar sentiment expressed by queer photographer Robert Mapplethorpe., who noted: âI work in black and white because colour can be too demanding. Black and white is more subtle.â

Photo shoot with birthday boy @pupd0g sporting a souvenir outfit gifted to him by @theleathercook on a trip to New York back in 2024.
He is sporting his leather in the tradition of a âmotorcycle club without motorcycles.â (this a quote from the 2017 Tom of Finland biographical film).
Happy birthday!

Shooting @carlsonsean with vintage phone and gossip bench. This piece of furniture was popular from the 1930s to 1960s. Heavy phones and the fact most households had only one, meant a regular spot, often a hallway, was needed to make calls. The shelf of the gossip bench would usually hold phone books, note pads and writing utensils. This furniture piece was also called a telephone chair, telephone stand and conversation bench. But letâs face it - gossip bench is the best one.
Much thanks to Sean for fantastic photo shoot. He currently uses a smart phone that he hates
âI start my day with espresso and end it with wine,â notes @alessandro_pro seen here modeling his disheveled look usually only seen at 1am after a wedding.
Alessandro is a Toronto-born Italian who loves the culture he grew up with - especially Sunday family gatherings with numerous rotating pasta dishes, including one of his faves: Frutti di Mare. His mother was born in Napoli and his fatherâs parents are from Abruzzo and Molise. Espresso was the standard every morning, and at every meal there is wine.

A few of the memorable moments from Davidâs Disco. This was a fundraiser for caseyhiuse, a specialty hospital in Toronto for folks living with and at risk for HIV. The event is inspired by the life of David Shannon, a passionate activist and journalist who passed away at Casey House in 2018.
