it’s been so long since i’ve done something that was just for me. i miss writing and i miss creating, so for my 45th birthday i wanted to document 45 things i’ve learned in 45 years. when i started the list, i thought there was no way i’d get to 45. a few days in, i was making cuts and combining lines to make it all fit. creativity is wild like that - i felt my mind expanding as i worked through the list 🥹 shoutout to a few friends who reflected back to me some of the wisdom i’ve shared with them over the years. if i had tried to make this list at 25, i would have been able to write the words, sure, but only because i read them somewhere. there is so much about aging that is hard, especially as a woman and especially in this society. but these are lessons i’ve actually learned from lived experience and that’s super cool - and you only get that one way… by aging. getting older is a gift, and i never take it for granted. i hope you enjoy reading them as much as i enjoyed writing them. and if you don’t, that’s fine, too because i did it for me anyway! 😋 stay goofy ✌🏻 (this one didn’t make the list, but if you know me, you know how important it is to me ☺️).
