We are so grateful for this community already, this weekend was insane. Now we are settling into the new normal of Provided Noda.

Provided is changing…
Our company was started by 2 friends that both had nothing to lose, and almost 5 years later we are so happy to still be serving the city we love.. but something is different!
Provided isn’t about us anymore, nor should it be.
These days, we have an incredible group of people helping us serve drinks and keep the shops running..
Small business is so tough, and it truly is built on the generosity and care from the people we do it with.
Provided isn’t just our story anymore.. it’s theirs too. Our goal is to give our people the same opportunity we were given 5 years ago:
To try, to fail, to invent, to make memories

Umm we have no idea if it’s gonna snow or if NC is just having another panic attack
Either way, going to try to keep our cafes open as much as we can.. we will be opening at 10am Saturday & Sunday so our people can stay safe :)

Our cafes were all designed after my Grandparent’s home that I spent a lot of time in.. the painting behind bar, car wall fixture, Texaco gas tank and more were actually donated by my Grandfather. Slide 5 is him with his first car (photo displayed at NoDa) & Slide 6 is my Grandparents enjoying a coffee at Concord with Toby :)

Small business is always “what’s next”…
And honestly, it makes sense. Tight margins and low bank accounts can make expansion sometimes the only way to survive.
In the midst of this hustle, I got lunch with a good friend of mine who runs 10+ cafes to pick his brain.
I asked him “out of every season of this business, what was your favorite?” And instantly he replied “when we had 1 cafe or maybe 2 and me and my friends would all clock in together, make coffee, and then clock out together and hang out”
This genuinely took me back, because the season he was referencing was the toughest and poorest in his small business journey.. AND his favorite.
I realized, the season I was waking up everyday to, trying to get out of… was his favorite memory.
That doesn’t make the costs go down, the stress relieve, or the money go up.. but I hope it helps someone out there who is actually in a memory they will cherish, even though it’s tough right now.
Cafe life is full of side quests
It’s ok to do things out of order when you’re chasing your dreams haha. So happy to have this cafe running and seeing new and old friends every week.

running out of stuff and breaking things are only symptoms of seeing friends and having great days.
With that being said.. what an honor,
to drop off more syrups because we ran out
to break steam wands
to have coffee dust everywhere
to cram coffee in a Honda fit
to break our main fridge
to spill extra milk we need

We are so grateful for the community we have built in Charlotte.. which makes this news even sweeter.
In the midst of closing our Uptown location we were offered a beautiful space in downtown Noda next to @foundclt that had all the guts we needed. Our team immediately got to work and started forming the space into what it is today.
We will be opening this Saturday, 8am-4pm
And then we will open every day after that
