Bobby @missinglinkmfg hit me up to see if he could shape me a board and I was stoked! This is our first board, a Wild Thing model. 6’0” x 19 1/4” x 2 1/2” @30.8 L. I’m 6’2” 190 lbs. I was definitely nervous to try it and I was blown away by how well it works! This session @timmymissions even commented on how good it looked under my feet and that got me super amped. Wild thing simple and clean. This design and its recent iterations has really clicked into gear lately. It’s been such a fast and intuitive board under foot. Been stoked to see this board under my buddies arm every time I see him trotting down the beach 🌊❤️

We’d like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to @_bobbywood for his incredible leadership and dedication. Bobby is a silent master, never boasting about his last wave he absolutely shredded or how he builds our flawless surf boards. We are so grateful he has decided to stay on for a while and make this an easy transition. We look forward to continuing the legacy he has built. Been a bit MIA lately but would like to update y’all on the factory. As of December I have sold the factory located on airport way in Monterey over to @mandosurfco . My fiancée @alliebonsall and I are relocating back to our roots on the east coast in Ocean City, New Jersey. There’s a lot to say here so here it goes. First off I’m beyond grateful for the experience I had. I moved to Monterey 10 years ago and have been working in the shop pretty much that entire time. Working in the surfboard industry was my dream job. To have gone from unpaid apprenticeship to employee to owning the factory for 3 years is a dream realized. I’m so grateful for the support from the central coast surf community. Servicing a core surf community who has a deep love for surfing and really cares about its board builders. Your love and support is felt and returned 100%. And thank you to all of the surfers and shapers who entrusted me to play a role in the process of building their boards. It’s not an easy business. It’s been years of 50-60 hour work weeks just to scrape by and I’ve gotten a bit burnt out. Im looking forward to slowing my pace and surfing more. I could not have made it through all that work without some special people supporting me- yall know who you are❤️. When I moved to California I was seeking good waves and a new life. I struggled with depression and surfing is how I healed. I wanted to work in the surfboard industry to keep myself close to the thing that I find most comforting. Well, God could not have laid a better path in front of me. The shop gave me a purpose. I’m so thankful for the people I met and the things I’ve learned. It’s changed my life in ways I wouldn’t have dreamed possible. As I move onto the next chapter with my fiancée I will take everything I learned with me. Allie is the answer to all my prayers and I can’t wait for the rest of our lives together!Thank you all for everything and apologies if I have been a bit MIA the lately. Pennington model has been a popular one this fall! A “fun gun” with a lot of versatility. A bit flatter rocker, more width in the nose and tail, fuller rails, and a beefed up foil. An excellent choice for navigating heavy water with a lot of current like we commonly experience on the central coast of California 💪🏻🤙❤️
