In a historic neighborhood in Savannah, GA across from a park where children played instruments and couples held hands and people gathered to read books on the grass under the shadow of moss laden trees- beloved community assembled. A sacred collective on holy ground. I am so grateful I said yes.
Maybe a year ago I was contacted by @missewill and invited to imagine possibility. The possibility of this gathering AND a collective future. She was a stranger and I am risk averse. But I said yes.
Her vision? SoulStory. An opportunity for like minded Christian/spirituality leaning authors, thinkers, artists, advocates to be together. Be renewed. Be connected. Be loved. And offer it. I’ve never experienced anything more nourishing or an event designed with more participant care. Erica had an entire team working with her. And … I just don’t have enough words of gratitude for the intention or execution of the week. Or for the people I met. Or for including me.
It was all so holy my words fall short. I am a hard introvert. But I made friends.
Our souls have a story. We are not alone. The future we imagine is possible. The faith we hold is true. And what is unseen is eternal.
