Curating is such an amazing and diverse job! This project for Maserati featuring Anna Franceschini, about the mechanics of desire, was particularly exciting. I was able to visit the extraordinary production line at the Modena headquarters and Maserati granted me the possibility to incorporate precious structural elements of the Grecale model into my works. The result is undoubtedly animated, and the driving force behind this minimal choreography is desire. This ballet mecanique is the result of an invitation from Caroline Corbetta and the complicity of Emanuele Farneti. . I saw him like this for the very first time on a television screen in  1984. And omething shifted forever. I was instantly, completely captivated. I will never, ever forget that feeling. It was the beginning of everything. From that moment on, there was no one else, no other idol, no other measure. He became my compass for talent and all the reasons behind it. Through him, before and beyond anyone I would meet later, I learned the true, trasformative power of art. The song was, of course, When Doves Cry -my all-time favourite. But today I chose Sometimes It Snows in April. And yes, sometimes it really does. Prince died on April 21st, ten years ago, and I’m still mourning. #PRINCE 💜
