Earlier this year I worked on a project with @incinerator_gallery for their interactive exhibit titled ‘The Playground Project’ shown at the Incinerator Gallery in Melbourne. The work required was to rebuild and animate the Lozziwurm a colorful, modular playground structure designed in 1972 by Swiss architect Yvan “Lozzi” Pestalozzi.
The exhibit has run from the 28th of June - 12th October so there is still time to visit if you are around!
An extract regarding the exhibit:
The Playground Project Melbourne is an interactive, international travelling exhibition with a playground takeover. It explores a unique chapter of late 19th century to early 21stcentury art, design, urbanism and activism; and strives to inspire local audiences, children, students, city planners, artists and designers to imagine a bright and brilliant future for play and playground design.
Unlike any other exhibition, young visitors are invited to climb, crawl, fall and imagine their way through a whimsical and colourful exhibition display and interact with the magical playgrounds that sit at the heart of this project and takeover the Incinerator Gallery’s indoor and outdoor spaces. An ambitious program of educational and public events during the exhibition foster community engagement, art and design exploration, and inspire children to live, learn and play creatively in our parks, cities and suburbs.
Thank you for the collaboration @incinerator_gallery@dkl_t
Thank you @_ali.3d for the private tutorials

Introducing the ‘Korral’ vase part of the misq.product line currently in design development. More to come soon regarding physical products.
Korral derives its name from the word corral: the act of gathering people to discuss. Korral is designed to be unique and complex as such to attract users to gather and discuss its form and design as a vase. Further discussions would prompt its used of narrow penetrations that may only fit that of a single stem as well as Its program of use, which relies on the act of local foraging in gardens and parks to collect flowers. Korral also has the resemblance of coral, which led to the original idea for its name.
I planned to use sustainability here not as an ad on through material but instead through program, use and design.
I envision ‘Korral’ being a centrepiece for a dining table, or to be placed on a display shelf in the living room or corridor.
Really looking forward to sharing this with you all soon.

I made this video with ComfyUI and Stable Diffusion, the learning curve has been interesting, but after seeing its capabilities and output that was enough to keep the interest up. Fantastic training from @yamb0x.eth

(HILL) is a multi-use sculptural ornament. It functions as an incense pit, planter or candle holder.
(HILL) takes the form of a single tier from a pagoda. I was searching for an architecture that replicated a gentle grading of height similar to a hill. (HILL) is part of a series of designed objects that looks to target consumption of plants and flowers. Natural materials like clay are used as an alternative to glass and forms like a hill that represent symbolically the environment in which the flower or plant was extracted from.
I wanted to spark reflection and dialogue on the consumption of plants and flowers at the expense of their life for our enjoyment. Plants are removed from natural environments and placed in highly synthetic ones, in glass vases and drowned in water. I’m not a plant activist but reflecting and engaging in this narrative allows us to apply this idea at all scales. In what other forms of life to we over consume at the expense of something living? In what way can we celebrate the living of something rather than ignore it for our needs or wants?
This was a submission for @artedomus@newvolumes emerging designers awards 24 :)
