Velvet Pages at the opening of the Inez & Vinoodh retrospective at Kunstmuseum Den Haag or, as Inez beautifully put it in her opening speech, a “futurespective.”

The exhibition brings together 40 years of work from the iconic photography duo. It’s striking to see their early pieces alongside the images that would go on to define generations of visual culture: from their beginnings in Amsterdam to photographing some of the world’s most recognizable faces.
Their exploration of gender, love, respect, and our relationship with nature is both powerful and deeply moving. And a special highlight: the live performance by Anohni, whose music often accompanies their shoots.
Choosing favorites feels nearly impossible, but the intimate Polaroid series and the breathtaking floral compositions stayed with us the most - not to forget the iconic portrait of Alexander McQueen.
Go experience it for yourself and tell us what resonated with you?
On view until 06 September 2026 at Kunstmuseum Den Haag.
