Still on display: The exhibition “Lehnert & Landrock. Revisiting a Colonial Archive”, which offers a critical reinterpretation of the Lehnert & Landrock collection, is free to view until 1 February 2026 at 📍Photo Elysée, Lausanne. Through its dissemination, the collection has shaped a Eurocentric view of the East. In dialogue with these images, Gloria Oyarzabal @gloria_oyarzabal (*1971) questions how museums exhibit and interpret collections on colonial history. Meanwhile, Nouf Aljowaysir @nouf.py (*1993) explores how artificial intelligence can perpetuate the stereotypes inherent in these representations. We were delighted to develop the graphic, typographic and colour concept for this fantastic exhibition in close collaboration with the scenographers from Atelier Gut and curator Fanny Brülhart.
