What are Arm Springs? Like in so much of Joseph Pilates’ system, the Arm Springs challenge the whole body: strength, coordination, balance, control, and connection. Within Pilates’ system, there is a whole catalogue of Arm Spring movements, from simple and accessible to much more demanding. So how do we choose what to do? 🤨 For me, it depends on what is needed — whether I am teaching someone else or working on myself. 💪 Here is one movement I am working on at the moment. It challenges exactly where I need it: the weakness in my upper and mid-back, especially around the posterior deltoid and the back of the shoulder. Small springs. What is the Ladder Barrel? It is a rounded, barrel structure with an adjustable base and a rigid ladder with horizontal rungs. The Ladder Barrel is a sturdy apparatus that provides support for a variety of movements. It is used in Contrology, the method developed by Joseph Pilates, for various exercises, both for stretching and mobility purposes, as well as inversions. It was developed in the late 1930s to early 1940s as part of the original equipment designed for practicing this method. Hvad er en Ladder Barrel? Det er et afrundet, tøndeformet apparat med en justerbar base og en solid stige med vandrette trin. En Ladder Barrel er et stabilt redskab, der giver støtte til en række bevægelser. GENSYN MED GLÆDE 💗🙏🏼💗 I går havde jeg to dejlige møder ude i verden. Det ene var et glædeligt gensyn med en kær kollega. Hun opsøgte mig for mange år siden, og spurgte om jeg havde brug for en yogalærer. Hvor er jeg glad for jeg sagde ja dengang!!! Og i dag er jeg glad for, at vi mødtes igen, og lagde nye planer sammen for fremtiden. @miranda.hellman hjertelig velkommen tilbage til Yoga I Valby, og nu med 2 Pilateshold på det faste ugeskema fra januar 2026. Jeg ved at mange af de trofaste deltagere, ligesom jeg, mindes dig med glæde. Og vil se frem til et muligt gensyn om ikke særlig længe ❤️ Hvis du læser med og tænker YES!
