Erol Mintaşin ohjaama elokuva Maan laulu (Earth Song) palkittiin viime sunnuntaina parhaan pitkän fiktioelokuvan palkinnolla Amsterdam Kurdish Film Festivalilla.
Maan laulu on Erol Mintaşin toinen pitkä elokuva ja se sai maailmanensi-illan Rotterdamin elokuvajuhlilla tammikuussa 2026. Elokuva kertoo Rojinista (Dilan Gwyn), kurdilais-suomalaisesta lääkäristä, jolle paljastuu perhesalaisuus. Tapaus kyseenalaistaa kaiken, mitä hän on luullut tietäneensä.

We zijn trots dat we de openingsfilm van AKFF 2026 mogen aankondigen: Earth Song.
Rojin is een arts die jarenlang werkte in conflictgebieden en daardoor vervreemd is geraakt van haar familie. Wanneer haar vader onverwacht terugkomt in haar leven, wordt ze gedwongen haar verleden onder ogen te zien. Wat volgt is een reis vol confrontatie, verlies en inzicht. Die reis geeft haar de kracht om samen met haar 12-jarige dochter op zoek te gaan naar waarheid en verzoening.
Een persoonlijk en indringend verhaal over terugkijken, loslaten en opnieuw kiezen wie je wil zijn.

We are proud to announce the opening film of AKFF: Earth Song.
Rojin is a doctor whose work in conflict zones has distanced her from her family. When her father unexpectedly re-enters her life, she is forced to confront her past. What follows is a journey shaped by grief, tension and reflection. It gives her the strength to take her 12-year-old daughter on a search for truth and reconciliation.
A personal and powerful story about looking back, letting go and choosing who you want to become.
