Meidän Röyhkeys-elokuva toteutuu viimein! Tää tuntuu erityisen hyvältä, koska tätä on projektia on kehitelty niin pitkään, yli kahdeksan (!) vuotta.
Elokuva kertoo tarinan ideologisesti työttömästä Ossista maailmassa, joka rakastaa työntekoa liian paljon. Se perustuu Ossi Nymanin hienoon, autofiktiiviseen romaaniin, joka me luettiin heti sen ilmestyttyä vuonna 2017.
Kuvat ovat Torino Film Labista ja Hausgesundin elokuvamarketista viime vuosilta. Paljon on tietä takana ja nyt alkaa uusi jännittävä vaihe!

Hurray!! We got a production fund for our new film from @elokuvasaatio 💜
Our film Arrogance is finally happening! This feels especially good because this project has been developed over eight (!) years.
The film tells about an ideologically unemployed Ossi in a world that loves work too much. The film is based on a great autofictional novel by Ossi Nyman, which we read right away after its release in 2017.
The photos are from Torino Film Lab and Haugesund Film Market from the past few years. We've come a long way, and now a new and exciting chapter is ahead!
This week marks, if not the end, closing one chapter in almost six-year journey.
I began working with @mintaserol on @earthsongfilm in the midst of the pandemic. This Friday it will have its world premiere at @iffr - one of the most prestigious festivals 💖
The film is a multigenerational story of family - portraited profoundly by @dilangwyn@aliseckineralici@duman_feyyaz and Zenan Tünc - on a journey toward truth and reconciliation. It’s about displacement and belonging, tracing how unspoken histories continue to shape families across borders and decades.
This film holds a very special place in my life. It’s the first properly financed feature film for me and my company @sonsoflumiere . The main language of the film is Turkish, which is my father’s mother tongue. Part of the film was shot in Türkiye, not far from where my father is from. During filming, we also stayed one night in the city where my father is from - Erzurum - which I had never visited before.
The journey of making this film was full of challenges, but also great, joyful moments that make life truly worthwhile. This will definitely not be my last post about this film - bear with me - but I’m very happy to finally be able to share photos and moments from it, and to get the film out into the world.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who helped make this film possible - our cast, crew, consultants and people who offered to help in variety of different subjects that make the world of the film rich. Thank you to film’s financiers for your trust on us. And thank you to friends for the support along the way ❤️
Now it’s time for the film to fly and for us to celebrate!
