This Friday (oh 💩 tomorrow) I’ll be celebrating 🎉 @oddduckmarket ‘s 3rd birthday in Park Circle from 5-8pm! It’s a circus theme which is pretty exciting. My first job ever was working for a clown named Pickles and I’ll coincidentally be doing Pickle Portraits! Don’t worry, I have a zine that explains that weird chapter in my life too.
Also, if you’re in Avondale, head over to @moongrottometaphysics to help my dear friend celebrate her one year anniversary of having a brick and mortar location! So proud of this lady. She’s one of my favorite people in Charleston and has come such a long way from when we met doing small markets together. Inside you’ll find new art from me and @purplemoon_as stained glass!
Saturday, you can catch me at @thriftersdrifters at @theroyalamerican from 1-5pm along with a whole curated market of spectacular vendors.
Then Sunday 10-4 I’ll be doing Lover’s Eye Portraits 👁️ at @thebindingscollective new store location in West Ashley!

I think that my favorite thing about making art in public is that it opens doors. I’ve always preferred making art out in the wild vs alone in a quiet room. I get my best inspiration from live references and experiences and just wanting to capture and remember those things. I can go anywhere alone and meet a new friend because art invites connection. Just the other day I brought my watercolors with me and @myperspectives came up to me and said she wished she could paint, so I said “Okay. Wish granted. Paint with me right now.”
People stop to watch, ask questions, tell stories, laugh, share ideas, or just sit beside you for a minute.
Art keeps proving to me that creativity isn’t only about making things. It’s about moments, curiosity, and unexpected conversations with strangers that become new friends. Super grateful I get to do this for work and play. 🫶☘️🎨

I like to do a lot of different things from drawing people as phallic foods, to writing comics, to painting the eyes of your lovers, to studying the art I encounter by reinterpreting it through my own hand. It’s all a way of translating the world as I feel it and see it. It’s often playful, a little strange, a little intimate, always evolving and moving and growing. Thanks for being here to witness it. 👐❤️

🐸🎷🎶First time watching @theheadstringscollective at the @chspourhouse last night. Even when I draw from my imagination, the subject matter is heavily influenced by my surroundings. There’s no better reference than real life, especially in a city so full of life as Charleston.
Inspiration for some of the background characters were drawn from murals made by @nemcclements and @paintingsnstuffllc
Exotic Pets?! Where? 🐅🦎🐒🦝🦜
I just really wanted to see exotic pets, so with the help of these new friends I made @snafubrewingcompany , we made it happen! Then I kept seeing exotic pets afterwards when I noticed a piranha cat @lorengriste from @purplemagnoliamusic dancing on the bar counter at @onairstudiochs , and later when I roamed into the night market with @romero.earth to say hello to @stevecefalo while he painted a monkey-tiger. We wanted to surprise him with a special crossover episode where we told him we met at an art show and later I found out Rome was his student. . .proving that art connects us all in unexpected ways.
