Almost done, must say I’m pretty chuffed with this new mega size Kowhai leaf and pods pendants …just need to find the right length. The leaf will be plated in Gold and the rest oxidized. The pods has a retractable feature which is fun and interactive. . Next to the Pohutukawa Leaf (on the left)is a new subject I’ve found to play with #Tarata aka #lemonwood. Both are accompanied by a separate pods made entirely in sterling silver darkened for that dark grey effect. . Two new hand carved Mother of Pearl (nacré) pendants. The dots you see on them are simulated holes (eaten by insects) and rivets to hold them in place against a Sterling back with a lovely texture - all for that contrasting industrial look that I love. . I get asked if it’s me who carved them…yes and no I don’t have time to set up a video of it😅. Unique pieces crafted by hand each and every-time in dark sterling silver and Mother of pearl- which was pierced and sculpted from an antique gaming coin from the 19th century. . On the second pic.
