Three of our team members are native to Huila and have been involved in specialty coffee sourcing since their teenage years. Together, they bring 40 years of experience in producer relationships, quality control, milling, and logistics.

Minga co-founders Laura and William have now a coffee farm called El Micelio.
We are experimenting with nature-friendly agricultural practices, focusing on reforesting and feeding microorganisms.

Depuis deux ans ils convertissent une ferme conventionnelle en ferme durable. Leur expérience de jeunes caféiculteurs est précieuse.

Café lavé de Colombie issu de la Finca El Pital, dans la région du Huila. Ce Tabi, cultivé à 1 850 m par Fernando et Alejandra García, est né d’un projet familial reconstruit.
Installés à El Pital après avoir quitté leur région d’origine, ils ont bâti une ferme basée sur la diversité des cultures et un modèle agricole stable et durable. Leur travail s’inscrit dans une approche engagée, où chaque décision vise à sécuriser l’avenir de la ferme et de leur famille.
En tasse, on retrouve des notes de végétal doux, sucre roux et fruits à noyaux, avec une texture soyeuse et un équilibre maîtrisé. Un café construit sur la constance, reflet d’un travail précis à l’origine comme à la torréfaction.

I met Laura in Paris back in 2012 on a local trade show that hosted the French Barista Championship, where Laura was competing. A few months later, we also started working together at Taylor St Baristas in London. Since then, and over the last decade or so, our paths have crossed many times both in Europe and Latin America. When the idea of the @collaborativecoffeenetwork was born, Laura and William were the very first to join and were also instrumental in formalising its business model and defining what we stand for. We’ve been huge fans of Minga’s work since day one and it is a real privilege to be able to now join forces in promoting the craft and dedication of a generation of dedicated coffee producers from Huila, Colombia. Grateful for the partnership and friendship over the years!
