You know that Mindy is a tap dance whiz. But… she is also a math whiz. Did you know that?
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from California State University at Fresno, aka
@fresno_state , in 2000 and a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from
@ucirvine in 2005.
Mindy is an alumnus of
@thedancestudiooffresno , where she teaches tap. She and her husband, Gabe, direct
@tapoverload , an award-winning tap dance production company. They direct an ongoing collection of original tap dance film shorts on its YouTube channel and have produced the original tap dance comedy show Office Beat. The show received rave reviews and the official Hollywood Fringe Festival award Best of Physical Theatre and Dance as well as the Robby Award for Best Choreography of LA Theater in 2016.
Mindy was a featured soloist in the international tour of Caution, Men At Work: Tap in mainland China, and a featured member of Rhapsody in Taps where she has performed the choreography of Linda Sohl-Ellison, Gregory Hines, Foster Johnson, Fred Strickler, Sam Weber, and Brenda Bufalino.
Mindy has taught all over Southern California, including master classes at Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio, Rhapsody In Taps’s National Tap Dance Day Celebration, and as a faculty member of the
@latapfest . She also has appeared on and choreographed for national and international television including the Jerry Lewis Telethon, China’s Dream Show, and, most recently, ABC’s Gong Show.
