It’s never too late for a Mother’s Day post! Every day should be Mother’s Day. No, I’m not that old to have black-and-white pictures of me as a child but I thought this looked pretty cool lol. At this point in my life, I value nothing more than my memories and even though we’ve had so much distance between us for a long time, the memories you’ve helped create and shared with me since day one until right now are truly priceless. Thank you, mama, endlessly. I love you more every day. Happy Mother’s Day! 🍎 ❤️ 🤗

2026 @ashleylaurenfoundation Chefs Who Care was HUGE! As it should be. My third year taking part in this wonderful event to raise money in support of the families battling pediatric cancer in New Jersey everyday. It’s truly an honor to be a part of this gathering, doing my small part to help this great cause. The family behind the hard work of the Foundation is remarkable. Their hands-on approach to what they do is priceless. That’s why 43 Chefs came out this year in support, 60 presenters in total including sponsors from food and beverage companies. I thank @ericvitalephotography and @gennaro.pecchia for including me every year alongside many new and old friends alike. I also want to thank the companies that sponsored our table @bonodisiciliausa @lavallefoods @belgioiosocheese @clementebakery @partannafoods for supplying us with all of our delicious ingredients! Food is based on love and care and, to me, there is no better way to show others that we are in this together than filling their bellies. Join us next year to raise even more money or, if you can’t, donate on their website. Innocent children need our help, even the smallest donation goes a long way. See ya in 2027! . . What if your pizza oven could do everything? 🔥 At Pizza Expo, @mind_machine , the owner of @alta_irpinia showed exactly that. Not just pizza. When he’s back in Suffern, NY, he’s cooking everything, pasta, meats, vegetables, even polpette, all in one oven. This is what live-fire cooking really looks like. One oven, endless possibilities. His rating? 9.5 out of 10. And we have a hint on how to get that to a 10 😉

Chef Competiello has since opened Alta Irpinia, a new business in Suffern, NY, honoring his father’s Italian heritage. Bringing Alta Irpinia to the Hudson Valley, his Lafayette Ave Salumeria features wood fired cooking and pizza, carefully sourced Italian groceries, salumi, homemade and Italian cheeses and represents "cucina casalinga” home cooking. 📌A graduate of The French Culinary Institute, Chef Michael Cosenza’s love for food and cooking sparked at an early age and continued to grow throughout his life. Chef Cosenza has worked in some of New Jersey’s premier dining establishments, climbed to Executive Chef at age 25, and was cordially invited to cook at the prestigious James Beard Foundation.
