@mimi_objects
Mimi is a Toronto-based ceramic artist whose practice centers on hand-built functional and sculptural objects that explore home, identity, and belonging. Through slow coiling and pinching techniques, Mimi creates tactile “lived companions” that ground the user in the sensory rituals of everyday life, offering a handmade response to the standardization of modern domestic spaces.
@around._.studio
around studio creates handcrafted ceramic objects inspired by slow living and thoughtful design. each piece balances elegance and playfulness, fostering a deeper connection to everyday objects and the rituals they quietly hold.
@goodlocbadloc
Loc Nguyen is a multidisciplinary designer whose practice bridges product design, art direction, and community gatherings. For In Bloom, he will be presenting a contemporary altar created as a way to reflect on ancestry, memory, and personal heritage. Accompanied by flowers and offerings, the piece explores ritual as a quiet gesture of reconnecting with family history and cultural roots.

Year ends are always harder to go through as I tally whether I've done enough shows or if I made enough things during the year. December then tends to become a time to catch up on any last minute projects to round off the year on a "productive" note - it's a feel good moment.
But scrolling through my album this year, I saw a lot more faces of friends than process shots. Whether it was helping out with some crazy idea, spending time outside of the studio, camping trips, or reuniting with old friends in new countries, I'm beyond grateful for each and everyone that has stuck by my side the past couple of years. A younger Boris would have never imagined the thing he longed for most would actually come true.
I'm not much of a ritual person but gathering these pictures for the round up led me to think of one word I want to start the new year with: eager
Let's be eager and be honest with those who are by your side.
Let's be eager and accept all parts that make us a whole
Let's be eager and run towards the things that move us.
Here's to whatever is gonna come your way in 2026, Mr. Shojo
