While the MIMA searches for a new location in Brussels, Raphaël Cruyt, co-founder and co-artistic director of the museum, has envisioned a spectacular and cutting-edge exhibition in Ostend invited by The Crystal Ship Festival.
It explores graffiti, the history of its style, and the adrenaline rush unique to the artist-vandal.
« Subway Art » opens April 3rd in a mysterious 19th-century fort built by Napoleon on the beach.
Recipe: graffiti, digital art, « Goonies »-style experience, historical graffiti references, tags and clever twists.
Artists:
Benoît Brasseur
Bruno Brunet
Sébastien Lebon (Crafteke)
Pierre-Henri Wibaut (Crafteke)
