Conceived as a platform for exchange, Réplicas connects artists working across experimental music, improvisation, and sound art in different geographies. This Berlin edition brings together local and international artists for an evening of exploratory sound practices—foregrounding dialogue, risk, and collaboration. Two years ago, I was completely blown away by their gig at KM28 and their melting pot of non-tonal improvisation, Brazilian melodies, and sonic exploration. I immediately thought: this has to be K002! After a series of beautiful twists and turns, what started as a shared spark of enthusiasm gradually evolved into a true collective effort between @vixemariah , @funinthechurch , and yours truly : a meeting of passionate minds guided by mutual respect and admiration.
