Blurred Lines returns to the @collingwood_basement on Friday May 1st inviting Bex B2B Billus for an extended session (4+ hours).
Bex wears many hats, one half of the legendary party and record label Spincycle Records alongside Terri, the mind behind Spacecast, a non-profit platform connecting musicians and artists across events, activations, and online spaces; and a true mainstay of the local scene. Without a doubt, she’s one of the finest selectors around, with a rare ability to transport dancers into another dimensions through her sets piecing together all things deep, minimal and wonky from the golden era.
Billus, the man behind Bath Time, with a cult following in the local scene. Billus is known for his deep and delicate selections, moving people seamlessly through morning, day, and night at his own pace. One of the scene’s best selectors, he’s also been making waves in recent years as a producer, with releases on Animalia, Spincycle, and most recently, Vessel.
Together, we await a meeting of the minds for an extended session in the basement.

Dear Vessel heads,
Without warning a shot is heard in the night. With a crack like the sound of rifle heard through gentle rain, Billus arrives on our beloved label.
Smatterings of future jazz, delicate percussion and sublime keys combine to offer up the Vessel experience to you, your friends and your uncle.
Presale up now, shipping from April 2.
Always yours,
Vessel Records
Three hours of deep underground house music from couple of Naarm’s extended blend bosses.
Whether facilitating insane parties in secret locations or producing world class head nodders, @neil_e_ & @millusboon have been collecting, making and playing top shelf tackle for over a decade, and if ever a mix could encapsulate time well spent, it’s this one.
Three hours probably won’t feel like it’s enough, so best you enjoy every moment of the ride.

After the false start, summer is finally here (or is that just climate change?!)…
Come and cool down in the luscious shade of our cute little Weingarten, soundtracked this Sunday by none other than Dial Records boss @lawrence_dial and Giegling’s DJ Dustin. Joining the jam on the hallowed SIP! sofa will be antipodean minimal magicians @bex__e and @millusboon
As usual, there’s plenty of wine to choose from and alongside our regular vegan tapas menu, we’re offering *trumpet fanfare* some SIP! specials (follow @zenner.weingarten for the lowdown on food and drink). See you down by the Spree 😉

Spincycle presents A Fantastic Thought… at Wax Music Lounge with Neil E (live) and Big City Bill.
This event was originally planned as the launch party for our next release on Spincycle Records which features our friends Neil E and Big City Bill. Unfortunately due to longer than expected manufacturing times, the record will not be released in time, but more info on that soon.
The show will go on and features a brand new live set from Neil E, as well as a dj set from Big City Bill (aka Billus) in the intimate surrounds of the Wax Music Basement.
“After years of deep contemplation, the breaking of sacred tools, fiddling around, and the collection of various beveled talismans, a revelation struck.
Two fantastic thoughts struck them both simultaneously.
These are those thoughts”
Warmup from Spincycle honcho’s Bex + Terri.

We have some sad news…
Zip has cancelled his Australian tour for personal reasons. We send him love and support at this time and respect his decision to remain at home.
The party will still go ahead with Moopie, Sammy Dee and Magda Bytnerowicz. Tim Heaney will now be donning his Perlon hat and replacing Zip on the day. We believe Tim to be the perfect candidate in a situation where we need to replace the irreplaceable.
We understand many ticket holders were excited to see Zip here in Melbourne. We will be offering a 15% partial refund to those who would still like to attend upon request. Those who are no longer wanting to attend can request a full refund. In both these cases -
Please email [email protected] to request a partial or full refund by 5pm Thursday 5th December. Refunds will be processed on 6th December 2024 and paid out thereafter.
The party will go on, and the music - which is what this is really all about - will still be magic.
There has been a huge amount of effort put into organising this, so we ask for your patience and understanding, and hope you can still find the dance within you.
We will reduce the final ticket prices online and on the door to reflect our reduced expenses for the operational costs of this event for those still looking to purchase. This will be live from Monday.
Any question’s can be sent through via DM and will be answered asap.
Much love
Spincycle & Lifeworld
