I am excited to announce that I have been selected as a 2025 @nalac_arts Catalyst for Change Fellow!
The Catalyst for Change Fellowship is a collaboration between NALAC and the Surdna Foundation and supports U.S., including Puerto Rico-based Latinx/é artists in the advancement of racial justice through community-centered, artistic solutions. The CFC Fellowship uplifts our artistic work and helps us advance our projects by addressing systems of injustice within our community.
BHAM will be one of the exhibitors at the second edition of La Feria: Print Media Fair organized by The Latinx Project at NYU. Mildred and I will have free and pay as you wish BHAM posters and zines as well as our own prints for sale including the ones in slides 1, 2, and 3. There will be a range of zines, print media, works on paper, prints, and more by 44 artists and publishers. The fair takes place this Saturday 9/27 from 11am-5pm at NYU (20 Cooper Square). Hope to see you there
This years fence weaving is remixed from Octavia E Butler’s Parable of the Talents. Which is feeling less like sci-fi and more like non-fiction everyday.

NEW WORK | “Without Is As Within” was conceived and produced last summer, when Artist-in-Residence Mildred Beltré Martinez’s twin children were preparing to leave their family home to attend college.
Here, the artist reflects on her experience of changing family dynamics across generations. Beltré Martinez based her designs for the custom sets of yardage on photos of a sofa and recliner that anchor her memories of her grandparents.
With stools arranged under a roof-like structure, Beltré Martinez invites us inside for intimate connection.
On view as part of Soft Cover. Included with free admission.
