The Wednesday Social had its first run out of the year this week. This year, we’ve partnered with @volumesdublin ..familiar format, a run followed by pizza, wine, spritzes, and NA beers. We feel very lucky that Volumes are willing to accommodate us in their incredible space (80+ sweaty runners). Our boys @_fiercemild gave us a prerelease taster of their new lager that’s launching next week. We may be biased, but we think it’s the perfect post-run refreshment. So crispy. This year we’ve started an antisocial group on Wednesdays, running between 4:30/km and 4:00/km. The group runs intentionally fast, we welcome people to come test themselves. Dropping out mid-run is more than forgivable, and everyone meets back at the start for a good laugh regardless. @james_maguire97 put the group through their paces this week, with equal amounts of enjoyment and suffering. @keelancon was on the decks throwing out some tunes. If you’re interested in attending a future Wednesday Social, you’ll need to sign our waiver to get access to our WhatsApp group, where you can preorder food and get up-to-date details.

AD Mild Activity’s Friday morning run shot on the @samsungireland Galaxy S26 Ultra - using Nightography + Horizon Lock. Five years ago, there was only two of us chasing content. We wanted to make sure people knew we were out there and that they were welcome.. but it was always a struggle to enjoy the run and get shots at the same time. Now Mild Activity documents itself. So many creative people have joined that content just happens. The only thing that’s changed is the tool. Capturing running content is hard at the best of times, constant motion and winter mornings with low light. Thanks to the @samsungireland Galaxy S26 Ultra it finally looks the way it feels.. Amazing!

Malta Scrapbook/recap: What a trip. Over 60 from our community made the trip to Malta in March for one of four races: 5k, 10k, half or a full marathon! It’s special to travel with friends and see so many different factions of our community come together to have a great time in the sun! WAY too many highlights to mention.. but if we had to call on one idk it would be probably be Emily winning.. WINNING!!! the 10k!! Complete scenes! Pandemonium!! Our superstar. Huge thanks, and all the credit, for such a wonderful trip has to go to Lucia, who has been selling a trip to Malta for a while! All we can say is it delivered in spades (and we’d go again next year). 🙏🏻 Congrats to all our racers in Malta! It’s never easy but that’s why we keep coming back for more. This will not be our last trip of the year. Watch this space.

With attendance (and enthusiasm) being our currency, this guy is our resident billionaire. A true king who walks (barefoot) among us, his mood is infectious and his will is unwavering. What an athlete, what a guy! Meet Darius. Darius Murphy, 31, Buffalo, NY. Running Background: Being raised in a barn meant sitting still wasn’t really an option. My earliest running experience was trying to keep up with my big sister, who always seemed a few steps ahead. Sports were a huge part of my life growing up, so running started as a way to stay fit for whatever season I was in. It didn’t become its own thing until my final year of high school, when I swapped the football bench for the cross-country team. That’s when running really stuck - I loved the simplicity of it: you put in the work and the results follow. Why I run: Because it’s fun. I’d love to tell some epic story about discipline and motivation… but the truth is I run because it makes me happy. Whatever nonsense life throws at you, a run usually sorts it out. For years most of my running was solo, and I loved the quiet of it. But once I started running with others, I realised a simple run can turn into something much bigger - a shared experience and the kind of camaraderie that’s hard to find anywhere else.

PACER Our Pacers shift around from week to week. Anyone who’s been running with us for a while that knows the routes and has a watch could be called upon to lead a group. It’s nice to see new joiners become regulars and eventually take the lead. As always, attendance is our currency.

Onboard with the Friday morning crew. For the next few weeks Sundays are running out of the same location as Fridays: @3fecoffee Clancy Quay. The best coffee shop for running routes in Dublin? We think so. Perfect access to Phoenix park & the war memorial gardens. If you’ve never run these routes before why not come along this Sunday?

A special Sunday service at the @3fecoffee roastery celebrating the launch of our very own coffee. The coffee Alex chose is a fruity natural from Costa Rica and will be available from 3FE stores and online next week. @sera.dough our resident baker (yes we are claiming her) brought some tasty treats 🙏🏻

In summer 2023 our Instagram was taken down by Meta. Pretty devastating after 3 years of building our community here. All hope was lost (slight dramatisation). Until a girl with no profile picture popped up in our DMs (next slide). She had us back online inside 24 hours. This earned her goat status. She also makes focaccia and said she’d do a profile if we tagged her bread making page @sera.dough - Introducing Sera. Sera, 29, Istanbul What’s your running background ? I picked up running after I moved to New York for college, didn’t make it to my school’s varsity volleyball team (sad) and gained my fair share of the freshman 15. Fell in love with the loop in Prospect Park, which was a perfect 5.3k. Was about to move to Dublin but COVID hit, moved back home to Istanbul for a bit, got fined for running outside during lockdown (lol) It was in Dublin when I wanted to see if I can raise the bar from 5k to something more. Signed up to a half marathon, as anyone in their mid twenties do, and here we are, 4 years and one weak knee in. Why do you run? I like the part where you forget your headphones and just left with your thoughts for a while and you can’t run away it (pun intended), and the part where running can help build a sense of community when you move to a place you don’t know anyone in. and i also like the part where running has no mercy or doesnt take any excuses so you have to be consistent. And finally i like that you keep coming back to it injury after injury, and its always just there.

A few shots by Max on board with today’s 10k group. We tend not to document every run like we used to.. but rest assured we are here. Week in week out, rain or shine, we are stacking KMs. 📸: @maxhrndz
