afew of my favourite things collected over the years - scanned.
first two, original costume sketches from the start of the Soviet era, for the ballet S.N. Vasilenko’s ‘Joseph the Beautiful’ by Boris Erdman, 1925.
third, a New Zealand postcard from 1901 featuring a scene from the Wanganui River. hand-colored photograph of a Māori woman standing in a waka.
lastly, a photograph I purchased from a Brazilian photographer in Lisbon. I asked him about it, and he told me it was taken at an orphanage where he worked. on this particular day, the kids were given a box of costumes to choose from, to imagine what they wanted to be when they grew up. this kid, in particular, said he wanted to be a black cowboy. Love it.
Content & production for Suntory Oceania’s inaugural symposium.
Worked closely with @rizerglobal to develop visuals across three screens: the main stage and two whiskey tasting experiences for @makersmark & @suntorywhisky_hibiki . The direction I developed drew from oceanic movement and light refraction, using caustics simulation and pixel sorting to create something atmospheric and alive while staying true to Suntory’s refined aesthetic. Always nice seeing work on the big screen!
Thank you @rizerglobal & the rest of the team involved !! ♥️
