🚀 NEW WORK FOR COWBOY SPACE CORP 🚀
Cowboy Space Corp. is getting ahead of the AI energy crunch by sending solar‑panel‑saddled rockets into low Earth orbit. They needed a wild brand to match a wild idea, and we had the time of our lives working on it. Our work… on a rocket… in space. No way.
Truly a pinch‑me moment. Me, @tullyryanstudio , @dayandaniello , and @calebsun.co poured our hearts into this one.
The symbol: a spur that’s not too yee‑haw, just a little hat tip, and if you look closer there’s also a sun rising over Earth’s horizon with energy flowing back and forth.
The type: we picked Panell by @xyz_displaay for the wordmark, the perfect balance of hardworking and future‑feeling, then layered a borderline irresponsible amount of type on top.
The color: we pushed past the usual “space” palette into something Earthy and dusty with just a hint of space.
The art direction: the Cowboy Space crew came in with a strong illustration vision, and since the launch was fast we tapped Flora AI to develop some dope illustrations. I’m actively looking for an illustrator who can draw like this, so HMU if that’s you. Also shoutout to @ajaxcreative_ for the amazing launch video.

We couldn’t help ourselves after seeing all of the @logoarchive (@logoarchive.now ) posts going around. I wanted to put together one for our team. I had so much fun digging up logos that I had completely forgotten about. Super proud of the range that this team is capable of.

Mike and Chara Smith co-founded Smith & Diction a decade ago. The Philadelphia, PA-based design studio specializes in creating thoughtful identities for imaginative clients.
Mike is most well-known for his team’s rebrand of Perplexity, and for making his live design files public for anyone on the internet to see. Mike leads all creative and design at Smith & Diction — working both as Creative Director and a Lead Designer on every studio project.
Chara leads all the diction at Smith & Diction — crafting brand strategies, verbal identities, and brand messaging for their wide range of clients.

Disney Dump
Truly had the time of our lives down at Disney. Every day felt like complete magic. Chara and I kept looking at each other and saying, “This can’t be happening right now.”
I left with an extremely full heart. Cheeks hurting from goofy smiles. And legs in massive massive pain from way too much walking.
My favorite moment: We looped Smugglers Run 3 times before the park even opened. Just running through the line like a child.
If you’re looking for a sign to go to Disney, this is it. GO!
Mama and Dad win an award. Had a great time at @phillymag ’s Best of Philly event last night. Got the closest I’ve ever been to the Phanatic so that’s a huge milestone. Also @charamelody was killin it in the red dress. 💃
