On Friday the 6th all roads lead to the @the.livingrooms where I will be launching DIEL the album. I'll be accompanied by my very talented friends and that includes @mikebytehill aka MiC iLL. He is a seasoned producer, performer and instrumentalist from Liverpool, UK who is currently based in Kenya. Mike is a founding member of 'The Fire Beneath The Sea' β€” a band he managed and fronted and you can find their EPs online as well. The Fire Beneath the Sea was an 18 piece hip hop/ska/drum and bass/jazz band and they were big on festival vibes. He has also been producing and recording his own music since, on and off in between pursuing multiple ventures. Cop your tickets via the Hustlesasa link on my bio and catch us live on stage this Friday. 🐐🎀πŸ”₯πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ #albumlaunch #mcsharon #kenyanhiphop #kenyanmusic #fyp

Some images here from my visit to @_buildher 's 'Transition to Placement' event. Cohort 14's 83 graduates from their 6 month in-house training programme move towards gainful employment as they earn and learn in placement. @adljames and I were lucky enough to be invited along, representing @therewildings where we both work as Supervisors/Instructors for the 46 Buildher alumni who make up our all-female carpentry team. I was also lucky enough to be asked to present a talk to those in attendance, celebrating cohort 14's achievements and giving some hints and tips on what potential employers will be looking for from employees. Buildher have so far trained over 700 women in Carpentry, Joinery, Painting and Decorating and Tiling, and are now adding Solar Energy and Cabinetry as choices for trainees to specialise in. Next year will mark them having had over 1,000 trainee women through their doors - an unbelievable achievement. What Buildher and their trainees are doing here in Kenya is absolutely astonishing, humbling and inspiring. I hope very much to have more involvement with their work during my time here.

So... I'm currently in Kenya...Kenya believe it?! (sorry not sorry). And by currently I mean for a year 🀯 This is all on my bloody doorstep. Feeling like a very lucky lad, it's absolutely stunning. I'm here assisting on a building project called Rewildings, building 7 timber framed houses and working with and assisting an all-female Kenyan team of carpenters to realise the project. This includes replanting a large area of native woodland to repair the habitat which has been damaged by years of tea farming, restoring and regenerating the landscape. I've started my role and have had an excellent time thus far meeting everyone and getting right on down to business. More stuffs to follow. Obviously. What an absolute privilege this is.

Still totally buzzing from our workshop build. 9 days of hard but fun work with excellent people. Getting our courses prepped for next spring is our job now, can’t wait to welcome you to our woodland.

The day has finally arrived, we’re going 3D! Such a good day - we stood all 4 of our cruck frames and connected them with the wall plates. So great to finally get a feel for the space and start to map out where everything might go…. Already planning a kitchen addition! Nettlecombe craft school is on its way!

It's all go here at the farm...just caught some red hot spider vs wasp action. It was no competition, the spider had it all the way. Pretty brutal stuff.

Some recent work on the build in Brook House Woods. It's been a long 6 months but we're nearly there - in fact, today marks 1 month remaining before the first guests check in, so it's action stations all round! . It's been an incredible thing to be a part of, and I'm hyper mega thankful for all of the wonderful people I've worked with and the chance to work so in-depth on such a beautiful thing. Let's bloody go!
