From all the way across the pond in Liverpool, we’re thrilled to host @barglue owner @mikebower_ for an industry-only seminar followed by a bar takeover next Monday, May 11!
The Liverpudlian neighborhood cocktail bar is nestled in a quiet and intimate corner of the iconic Albert Dock.
Glue was born six years ago during a game of frisbee under the Eiffel Tower and at long last the doors opened in late August 2024.
The ethos and focus of Bar Glue is community, inclusivity, casual but engaging service and exceptional drinks. With a minimalistic design and European style of service the bar has gone from strength to strength since opening.
Mike’s seminar, “Lying Your Way Into The Industry” will take place from 3-4p, followed by the @barglue takeover from 5-9p!
Hit the link in bio to RSVP for the industry-only seminar. Limited reservations and plenty of walk-in space are available for the takeover!

Last night we were revealed as Number Two in the @50cocktailbars list.
Eighteen months ago we opened the doors with one goal. To show what Liverpool has to offer. To now be surrounded by so many incredible bars, many of which have inspired us, feels pretty surreal. We’re proud, grateful and even more excited for what’s ahead.
Thank you to everyone who voted for us, who’s come down for a drink, told a friend about us or supported us in any way this past year. It genuinely means everything.
In true Glue fashion, we’re not slowing down.
2026 is already looking like our busiest year yet and we can’t wait to share it with you.
As always, Stick Together.
I’ve been reading Class Bar magazine for years. After moving back from Paris in 2019, my interest in cocktails really took off, and it became my go to for a scene I wanted to be part of but didn’t quite know how to break into.
The first time my name was mentioned in the online version, I remember screenshotting it and sending it to my mates. It felt like a huge milestone and, in some ways, validation that I was on the right track.
To now be on the front cover for the Winter 2025 edition is truly surreal. In this industry, it’s often not cool to say you’re proud of something, but after all the hard work it’s taken to get here, I can honestly say this is something I never thought would happen.
Thank you to @hamishssmith , @seanware and the team at @classbarmag for making it so much fun.
@classbarmag Winter edition. Out tomorrow.
Wow.
One year ago today, we opened Glue—and never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the year that followed. From travelling the world and visiting places I once only dreamed of, to being crowned Best New Bar and even being shortlisted as one of the best in Europe.
But honestly, all of that is overshadowed by the fact that I get to work every day with @nayprice_ and @hattieoliviaa . That’s the real win.
To everyone who’s stepped foot in the bar, and to those who’ve joined us on our travels—thank you. We’re so grateful to have you as part of this journey.
Stick Together.
