Team roping has a way of telling the truth. Out there, it’s just timing, instinct, and the quiet between breaths. If your mind wanders, the loop misses. If you force it, the moment’s gone. But when you’re clear—steady, present, unburdened—everything lines up like it was meant to. Life isn’t much different. A clean mind sees the opening. A focused one takes it. And sometimes, that’s all it takes to make something real. #TeamRoping #ClearMind #StayFocused #WesternLife #CowboyStateOfMind

After a great day filming at the studio, nothing beats coming home to these guys. They don’t care about the work or the wins—just the quiet truth of being present. In a world that keeps pushing forward, they remind me to stand still, stay grounded, and remember what’s real. #StayGrounded #HorseWisdom #quarterhorse @gunghoranch

There’s a certain kind of person who doesn’t wait for the moment — they move, and the moment follows. @enola.bedard is that kind of force. Having her appear in the first season of our new show reminded me that joy isn’t something you find, it’s something you practice. Step by step, beat by beat. She carries a lightness, but make no mistake — it’s built on grit, discipline, and a refusal to stand still when life asks you to dance. In a world that can get heavy, she chooses movement. She chooses laughter. She chooses to make things happen — and somehow makes it all look effortless. We could all use a little more of that rhythm. #EnolaBedard #DanceThroughLife #MakeItHappen #StayPositive #buzzfeed

One thing working with horses teaches you is patience. They don’t rush, they don’t force—they listen. And somewhere in that stillness, if you’re paying attention, the universe starts speaking back to you. We’ve carried this project for years… through the waiting, the pushing, the believing. And today, we finally stepped onto set. First day of shooting. Watching this incredible crew come together to create something real—it hits deep. Feeling grateful. Feeling present. Feeling blessed. #godisgood #Lotocha #FirstDayOfShoot @iamlatocha @buzzfeedtasty #grateful

When I ride out at first light and watch my horses breathe in the cool air of spring, I’m reminded that they never waste a moment wondering about yesterday or fearing tomorrow. They meet the morning exactly as it comes — ears forward, eyes clear, alive to the wind, the scent of fresh earth, the promise hidden in new grass. There’s something honest about a horse in springtime. They teach you that peace isn’t found somewhere down the road… it lives in the present moment. Watching them seize the day with such quiet joy gives me hope that maybe I can do the same — clear my mind, let go of the noise, and simply be alive in the saddle and grateful for the ride. #SpringRide #HorseLife #WesternSpirit #RideFree #quarterhorse

Had to share this run. As an amateur roper, moments like this light a fire in me. Watching a 4.8 and 5.6 at the Central Regional Finals reminds you what dedication, timing, and heart can look like when it all comes together. What stands out even more than the talent is the humility. The best often carry themselves the quietest. That’s why I had to share this rising star, the same @thetrestonbrazile run. Performances like this inspire amateurs like me to keep learning, keep grinding, and keep believing there’s always another level to reach. Respect the craft. Respect the work. Keep chasing it. #TeamRoping #Rodeo #RopingLife #rodeolife

Failure is a hard teacher, but an honest one. It humbles the proud, steadies the restless, and asks us to look in the mirror without turning away. Every scar, every wrong turn, every door that closed before we reached it—these are not endings, they are the rough hands shaping us for what comes next. Success is rarely born in comfort. It rises from dust, disappointment, and the courage to begin again when no one is watching. Failure is the mother of all success because it gives us the grit, wisdom, and quiet strength that victory alone never could. Keep going. The road is teaching you something worth knowing. #FailureToSuccess #KeepGoing #RiseAgain #LifeLessons #teamroping

You’ve got to move with fire. Not halfway, not someday, not when the timing feels perfect. Fire means purpose. Fire means discipline. Fire means walking into every room with something burning inside you that fear can’t put out. Too many people wait for permission, wait for comfort, wait for applause. But the world responds to those who move with conviction. If you believe in the dream, if you know what’s in your heart, then step forward with intensity and faith. Move with fire, and watch how doors begin to open. #MoveWithFire #faith #achieve #cowboyup thanks @vittib1

Somewhere between the hoofbeat and the heartbeat of this earth, there is an understanding older than language. Horses know the land in a way we often forget—they read the wind, trust the soil, move with the open country. They remind us that the earth was never something to conquer, only something to honor. On this Earth Day, I’m thinking about how much these great animals have taught us: strength without arrogance, freedom without waste, grace in partnership with the world beneath our feet. Every trail, sunrise, breath is a reminder that we belong to nature, not above it. #EarthDay #Horses #WesternLife

There’s something rare about people who live with passion and conviction. You see it in the West—in the early light, in the worn hands, in the quiet way a person carries their word like it matters. These are the stories that deserve telling, because they remind us who we are when the noise falls away. To step into this spring with cameras rolling again feels a lot like stepping onto open ground at first light—uncertain of the miles ahead, but certain the journey matters. This new documentary series goes straight to the heart of western culture, where grit meets grace, and where life still asks something honest of a person. And maybe that’s the lesson of it all: life, like the frontier, gives no map—only direction. You move forward by faith, by courage, and by the stories that light the trail. #WesternCulture #DocumentaryFilmmaking #Storytelling #SpringJourney #rodeolife

As I ride toward this new production, I find myself thinking of the rodeo icons I’ve been fortunate enough to know—men shaped by open country, hard miles, and the kind of resolve that doesn’t need announcing. Their stories are not decorations to be hung on a wall. They are truths, and truths deserve to be told with care. When I sat with @stransmithofficial , I came to understand something deeper about what it means to be a rodeo cowboy: fierce determination tempered by humility, faith carried quietly, a generous heart, and the rare gift of focus when the world is trying to pull you away. Those lessons travel with me now as I step into this next chapter. Some people leave footprints. Others leave a trail worth following. #Rodeo #WesternHeritage #Storytelling #newbeginnings

Working alongside @the_official_sharicooper on two rodeo documentaries has been a rare privilege. Some people carry a story the moment they walk into a room, and Shari Cooper is one of them—strong, weathered by experience, and full of the kind of grace that can’t be manufactured. As a filmmaker, I’ve always been drawn to places where life is still lived honestly. Rodeo and western culture are among those places. Out there, character matters. Hard work matters. Family matters. There’s dust on the boots, history in the silence, and dignity in the struggle. These aren’t just stories about competition—they’re stories about endurance, faith, pride, and the stubborn beauty of people who keep going. That’s what has always moved me. I’m grateful for the chance to help bring this world to the screen, and I look forward to telling more of these stories in the year ahead. Because rodeo isn’t just part of America’s past—it’s still very much part of its soul. #Rodeo #WesternCulture #Documentary #Storytelling #america
