For me, weekends are all about God and family, and I'm very blessed to still have both of my parents with us. Well, cat's outta the bag...I've gone and wrote a book. And the publisher said I can't keep my stories to just my Snapchat friends anymore, so here we go. I officially have an Instagram. I'll be posting my ranching stories, and hope the real life of cowboying doesn't get me banned or thrown in jail! I'll also be posting news about the upcoming book, my Tack Room Talks, some news and behind the scenes of our 1930 Remnant Store opening and STS Ranchwear, and we might rerun some of those old rodeo stories too. Everybody thinks their horse is the bestābut when it came to Topper, there wasnāt much debate. The 1982 sorrel gelding Topofthemarket became one of the greatest calf horses in history, carrying Stran T Smith and many others to the pay window throughout a nearly 20-year career.ā

Topper helped Stran fill his Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association permit and, in a full-circle moment, carried him to a tie-down roping world championship at age 21. Known for his heart and consistency, Topper was named PRCA Timed Event Horse of the Year in 2003 and 2005.ā

When Stran partnered with Weaver Equine to create STS Ranch Signature Tack, he wanted to honor the horses that shaped his career.ā
