Every time I step into a space to shoot, I take a moment to find the through-line of the story I want to tell. That night, the story was simple: For The Love. Timing is everything—especially when it comes to creative projects. For this one, I think it was more about me catching up to the creativity that was captured that day. It was early in my career, and only now, with a clearer vision and voice as an artist, do I feel ready to share it. The 21 Mercer address is rich with history in the street culture world. So to be able to photograph an event at such an iconic place was a real full circle moment for me. I remember when it was NikeLab and you couldn’t even get in without an invite. Then it became NSW where wifey and I got the FlyKnits when they first dropped. A lot of memories walking those cobbled streets of SoHo.
