Clay pipe dramas: sorted. We’re finally prepped for pour day – a big deal in tradie land. Let’s see if it actually goes ahead this time… manifesting dry skies and zero delays 🤞🏼
Our lovely old gal’s clay pipes have cracks in aaaaaall the wrong places – a messy, costly surprise that means digging up part of our new yard 😱
The good news? By the end of today she’ll have a modern system and be set for another 55 years.
But take it from us: if you’re buying an old home check the plumbing BEFORE you fall in love. Some character traits are better discovered early.
We searched high and low for a home like her – something with history, style, and those little quirks you can’t build new. The moment we saw the listing (and then her in person), it was love at first sight.
She may be laden with aesbestos and have a cockroach infestation, but she’s got architectural bones, buckets of charm, and the kind of potential you can’t walk past.
