Posters for Purchase! Selling some beautiful Shooting From Below posters made by the gorgeous @smuttypickles . Featuring myself and a to scale @palomicanicol We had them for sale at the end of the shows but if you couldn’t get one here they are! They’re A4 and make great gifts for yourself (or someone else if you’re sooo inclined). There are a limited number so act as fast as you can. Priced at £15 plus £5 for postage/materials and labour costs so £20 in total. DM me to buy and I’ll send you payment deets and you send me address. I may have a shop online soon for other bits but it takes a while to get affairs in order with legs like these. If you want one signed you have to pay more. We charged £250 at Southbank but that was a semi-serious-joke. No one bought it (what the FUCK!) so I’ll be reasonable and reduce it to a steal at £175 (including postage)! I could be tiktok famous if I so wished so lord KNOWS what you could get for it when I inevitably I fall upon measures dire enough… LOVE YOU ALL (even the ones I don’t like)

It’s always been a dream of Midgitte’s to have her face on the bottom of a cat litter box! Where do we go next? Thank you for the lovely write up @alexneedham74 . Despite what everyone else says you were a pleasure to have around. A lovely time had by all and finally some journalistic proof. And thanks to @speediemeadie66 for not only taking fabulous photos but being great craic too (it’s a shame my cat didn’t make the cut but there’s always next time). Of course my parents find out I’m trans via a feature in Le @guardian on Trans Day of Visibility! How chic…sometimes the biopic writes itself. I meant everything that was quoted in this article so watch out and get a grip is all I have left to say. Thanks to @abstraktpublicity for sorting it all. And thanks to @travisalabanza and @debbieisilluminated for putting me in a show all those years ago which caught this journo’s eye in the first place. Honorable wordle pic at the end x

Stop The Press! I mean- Start the Press. No! I mean it. Stop it! Page 151. July 2023 Edition of @britishvogue . Before I was fully grown I’d sit on the floor of my local newsagents and flick through the pages of Vogue. Hoping to find something, ANYTHING I could cling to. A small satchet with a tiny wet wipe blessed with drops of sample the new Estée Laurent perhaps, or a new hair conditioner tester or maybe a couple for a new low-calorie snack bar. Now, those kids tearing through those vogues back to front, can find ME on those pages instead. Empty handed and I’ve never smelt better. Thank you to Tim Walker who saw me performing in Sound of The Underground and elected me his Muse. Thank you to Terry Barber who shares an appreciation for art and me. And Tasos for introducing me to the lightweight world of human hair wigs for the day. Actually I also wanna thank @plotnek for being an amazing assistant and friend to me on the day of the shoot (and days in general), fashion world is strange and alien and having a support pal there meant a lot. As someone who experiences non-consensual filming and photos, there is a discomfort for me around perception and capturing and sharing me and my form. Trust issues are to be expected. Despite what everyone else says, I believe the world is deserving of my existence. This one is for Katherine Araniello. Rest In Rage Until I’m On The Front Page x

⚠️ Get ready for our next #ScratchRenaissance night coming up at the end May! 🛠️ THIS IS A THREAT! 🛠️ Curated by @midgittebardot A night for durational, crip-focused and led work that interrogates risk and failure (of the state). Here, ‘durational’ doesn’t mean long, it doesn’t mean endurance, it means performance that asserts its own pace, and subverts normative expectations of spacetime. Disabled people are usually constrained by normative expectations of time and space in a world that has none for them. We are surviving in the age of precarity, so this is an intentionally-unconventional, precariously-embracing DIY night. 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐍! *rescheduled due to tube strikes ✊🛑 a new very LIVE offering @sketchlondon DOWNTOWN is a monthly night in Sketch’s parlour, organised and curated by singer-songwriter and former clown NiCKY with a rotating cast of London queer night-life luminaries and performance icons. For DOWNTOWN’s debut they’ve invited living legends Ms Sharon Le Grand and Midgitte Bardot to sing around the keys, soundtracked by DJ sets by rock n roll superstar Ms Jeanie Crystal. *NiCKY may open the floor for a post show sing-a-long. See you in the parlour 💋 FR€€ RSVP link in bio via Eventbrite + sketch.london.co.uk 8pm —> LATE NiCKY is a vital voice in London’s queer performance scene, known for their disarming, emotionally charged songwriting - part torch song, part bedroom synth fantasy. Their second EP 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 was released at Cafe Oto at the end of 2025. “Ms Sharon Le Grand spat venom, flung her handbag high into the balcony and then demanded it back” - The Times. She’s performed literally everywhere including VFD, The Glory, Shoreditch Town Hall, and starred in critically acclaimed ‘Sound of the Underground’ at the Royal Court. Midgitte Bardot is the alter ego of Tam Reynolds. Their sell out South Bank show Shooting From Below just closed its doors on Saturday and will tour later this year. Everything drags: time, language, wigs, their face and their heels. Lead woman of rock and roll band Jeanie and the white boys comes through to give a DJ set full of Retro sounds and heavy bass lines, get ready to sweat!

Well…selling out southbank centre three nights in a row wasn’t why myself and @palomicanicol made Shooting From Below but it doesn’t hurt. This show has been a long time coming. This show is for the short-arses. This show is for the crips. This show is for the freaks. The show is for the queers. This show is for all those who aren’t one of the above to get a fucking grip. Very proud. Very tired. Very honoured. Very self-assured. Very that. I wanna thank all the folks who have helped make this happen on an official and unofficial basis. It’s amazing to have financial and institutional support however it’s the people who come together and stick around who make it a meaningful success. Will hopefully put a tour together and take it around so keep eyes and ears and general holes peeled. This show wouldn’t exist without Nicol Parkinson (co-collaborator and more). They’re the reason why Midgitte casts such a big shadow. Official thanks to: @izrabes (director) @catchpolecan (producer) @ancestral.fave (assistant director) @_annieedwards (movement director and more) @lambdog1066 (costume designer and maker) @martylangthorne (lighting designer) @maisiefrater (set design) @dazzaroid (hair and Make up designer and pre show vibes) @itsbeckettgray (stage manager & captioner) @dot_egg (audio description) @baigainkn_official (access assistant and dresser) @smutty_pickles (poster design and merch sourcing) @abstraktpublicity (PR) @hollyrevellphotography (gorgeous GORGEOUS photos!) @southbankcentre (venue and AMAZING tech team shout out Phil and Paul and bloody Shirley!!) @weareunltd (money) Unofficial thanks to: @ppateyferg for being my best supporter and sound board and signposter @jen_smethurst for cat sitting and living with me whilst withstanding the line learning showmaking process @willy.amott for being the ava to my deborah @debbieisilluminated for initial direction in earlier work in progress days @temi.wilkey for also initial direction in later earlier work in progress days @plotnek for early production and cheerleading support as well as roses Probs more folks to thank but mostly thanks to everyone who came, especially the crips and freaks.
