Haven't shared owt in ages but update in that I'm now a glasses wearer. I've been staying off social media a lot more - in some ways I've found it more isolating because I don't know what is going on in people's lives as much, but in other ways I've been spending better and more intentional time with people, and not doomscrolling or being overwhelmed by a constant stream of pictures and videos has helped my mental health and concentration. I do miss the memes though. I'm creeping closer towards BABY bring born - and with that I'll be off on parental leave January til mid February. After that I'll be back part time. Feel free to book me after that, I have a little avavibility in December but hoping to nest and wind down so probably don't have the capacity for huge amounts, and nothing out of London I'm afraid. I spent a lot of this weekend with my queer family to be @dot_egg and @vickibaars , as well as lots of people in our wider queer world. I feel so lucky to becoming a parent with two of the best people I know - they’re kind, funny, fierce, playful, loyal, principled, smart, silly and just so much more. I can’t wait to meet our little one 🌈💜🥰

October - amongst another things went away with the faeries, and for the first time got to bring mill 🐕🧚‍♂️ I got to reset and reconnect in a way I really cherish. Sometimes you just need to howl at the moon and cook for 70 people. Did some lovely work gigs and it was also my birthday 🎂. August photo dump. Many festivals worked. I have enjoyed but am now glad to come to the end of living in a tent. Am already missing my Shambala festival access family. Big news... got my DYCP funding! Cried in a toilet when I found out. In another epic furthering of the 2024 lesbian renaissance, my project is called "An echo of dykes". Part of it will be upskilling myself as audio describer, and the other will be learning and exploring how we use others voices, oral history, and objects of queer history in art (and how we make it accessible). Completely over the moon doesn't cut it! A huge thank you to @thisismitchmaker who helped me write my application 💜. I'm also changing my handle in reflection of where my creative practice is lying at the moment. My drag king persona Kallum is on long term rest and I'm okay with that. Drag has been a gorgeous way to discover my gender, be in community, have fun creatively, but it's just not something I'm pulled towards right now. I'm still very here to stage manage your cabarets, do your doors and heard your cats, but I'm at peace with the fact his suits are hanging in my storage unit.
