LATEX. presents NYE // SQUISH // X2C // MICRORAVE
As we gear up to welcome 2026 together, we’re especially excited to be teaming up with two incredible crews : microrave and x2c, to help shape this next chapter and push the Squish spirit even further.
At its heart, Squish holds tight to the values that have always guided us: safety, inclusivity, consent, and the freedom to show up exactly as you are. Where big sis leans into performance, kink, and full-on playroom energy, Squish offers something more intimate, an intentionally community-minded dancefloor centered on music, connection, and the simple joy of moving together.
This project grew from our desire to offer our community nights that are both accessible and high quality spaces where everyone can feel free, safe, supported, and truly seen. It’s brought to you by the same team behind LATEX., with the same commitment to care, consent, and crafting environments where we can be our whole selves.
Originally a video mix series recorded in spare rooms and studios in the early post-lockdown days, microrave has grown into a celebration of Montreal's top FLINTA* DJ talent. microrave is a space for freedom, where the dance floors are foggy, the lights are low, and you never know who you'll end up dancing reeallll close with.
X2C is a multimedia collective founded by Montréal queer artists Hÿdra and Nasty Gloss.
Rooted in the underground scene, X2C uplifts queer artists by creating a space where art meets experimentation and disruption. The collective centers DJs who craft stories through sounds, shaped as narratives in real time. A place where performances become an intimate act of truth-telling. Grounded in a strong club ethic, X2C advocates for the dancefloor as a safe and unifying realm of expression, respect, and liberation. By moving as a collective, we hold space for people to be fully themselves and for memories to form.
