Michelle‘s Place Cancer Resource Center will host It’s annual Hope Lights the Night luminary event on Thursday, April 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park. This free community event features the decorating and display of luminary bags, each representing loved ones who have battled cancer.
Guests can expect an evening filled with music, reflection, and community connection. The program will include a moment of silence, speeches, live music, a “Wall of Hope,” and a champagne toast. Michelle’s Place is partnering with the talented and creative Erica Robinson, the photographer behind Under the Pencil, and Alison Garza, host of Coffee with Alison at Michelle's Place, to offer a deeply personal portrait experience for young adult cancer survivors.
This is more than a photo session. It’s a moment to be seen, to tell your story without having to say a word, and to hold space for everything you’ve lived through and overcome.

In 2016, we had the privilege of welcoming the incredible @Dr . Amy Bremner to our Jefferson location.
Fluent in Spanish, she spent time with our Spanish Support Group, answering breast cancer questions with clarity, compassion, and care. More importantly, she created a space where every person felt safe, heard, and truly supported.
Moments like these are at the heart of what we do.

Today we had the privilege of honoring clients who have completed their cancer treatment.
Cancer changes everything. It shakes your world, tests your strength, and asks more than anyone should have to give. And yet, these Warriors kept going. Through the hardest days, the unknowns, and the fight, they persevered.
