Cheers to the most surreal ride I’ve ever been on! On my 10th year LA anniversary we got word that our show @thequestabc was nominated for a @muahs_awards for best contemporary makeup. What? Best makeup? Never in my wildest dreams I would have thought I would have this much support and love from fellow talented makeup artists and hairstylist. Thank you so much @ellefavmakeup for calling me and asking me to take this journey with you. Also having @sonia_makeupartist there was so special to me since she has been with me since the very beginning of my career, always there having my back and hyping me up when sometimes not feeling as confident or myself. Also feeding me and my pregnant nauseous self. Working on this show was such a blessing and felt so meant to be. @ericaerk@lomckee@alyntopper and no joke my cosmetology teacher @tremontjennifer slaying that hair department like no other. I would walk in the hair trailer and my mouth would drop. I could not believe the looks that were coming out of the trailer. I love you guys so much and thank you for letting all of my dreams come true. ❤️ another huge shoutout to my husband @jperentals for supporting me though these crazy hours and letting me go away for a month to get it done! The best husband and father i could ever ask for!
Hi! let me reintroduce myself! My name is Michelle Sfarzo, I am a Emmy and Guild award winning IATSE Local 706 Makeup Artist. I mainly work and specialize in film and television, based out of Los Angeles. I have to admit I am terrible at posting content and am trying to get better at showcasing my work. I love creating characters and I love a good glam makeup 😮💨 I recently in the last few years starting making tattoos for artists and their shows. It has been so fun drawing up and collaborating with others to help bring their main characters to life. What an absolute insane weekend it has been! I don’t have words to describe all of the emotions I’m feeling and really hasn’t fully hit me. I’m going to try and get it down the best of my ability. First and foremost @ellefavmakeup deserves a huge thank you for hiring me on to this amazing show and trusting me to be her key. Not only was is a show full of fun fantasy characters, it was a show near my hometown that is so close to my heart. Elle went above and beyond designing these characters, every detail mattered and made a difference. True eyes of a winner. So happy @sonia_makeupartist took a leap to come with us on this, she is a force. The way she was able to just pull makeups out of her hat was so incredibly inspiring. I’ve looked up to her as a friend and artist and don’t ever want to be on another show with out her.. Like to also thank my husband @jperentals for being such an amazing supporting husband and father, dealing with this insane business. My DH @meccadickerson , @michellesfarzomakeup and I designed the look of full sleeves, neck and face tattoos for our new tattoo artist character “Toad”
The inspiration came to life when we saw the tattoo designs Michelle had for us. It was such a pleasure working with such talent, and having a good flow to our application. Our patchwork design came together like a puzzle as we started with the hands and worked up. We added small filler tattoos by hand to finish the look and help the flow of the sleeves. 🕸️

Something about this photo makes me so happy. It’s chaotic, colorful, and just screams ARTIST at work. I love my job and I love all of the brands that create the colors and textures we use to help us express ourselves.
Some days I feel burnt out but then there are days like this where I get to create and fall in love with makeup all over again.
