Hallo aus der Dresdner Altstadt 👋📷☺️
Hier bin ich mit meiner geliebten Hasselblad – genau dort, wo ich mich zu Hause fühle. Ich bin Michael, gebürtiger Australier und lebe seit 2011 in Dresden. Mit der Fotografie habe ich schon mit 10 Jahren angefangen – dank meiner Eltern, die selbst als Fotograf:innen gearbeitet haben. Ich bin Autodidakt und glaube fest daran, dass jede:r seinen ganz eigenen Blick entwickeln kann.
Seit über 15 Jahren arbeite ich als freier Fotograf, Filmemacher und Musiker – mit meinem Unternehmen @mortlockmedia , sowohl hier in Dresden als auch international. Ich habe mit Künstler:innen und kleinen Unternehmen wie Gotye, Passenger, ELIF, Mogli, Clemens Christian Poetzsch, Sven Helbig u.v.a. zusammengearbeitet. Einige meiner Ausstellungen gab es z. B. im Café Emoi in Striesen und der Neustadt.
Neben meiner Arbeit bin ich auch ein glücklicher Papa und lebe mit meiner kleinen Familie in Dresden Blasewitz - und biete hier in Dresden Fotokurse auf Deutsch & Englisch an - für Anfänger, Fortgeschrittene und auch in individuellen Einzelcoachings.
