Mario Why (Yñiguez) is a songwright,
composer, multi-instrumentalist, director, and
creator. In May he released his debut EP, ‘Their Hearts Were Full of Spring’ which is described as “lusciously indie, baroque canyon-pop”. His twangy five piece band featuring some Phoenix’s most colorful players (Benjamin Cortez, Bailey Zick, and Jordan Tompkins) will be playing their new material inspired by artists like Bill Callahan, Wednesday, and Weyes Blood. They’ll release a full length album next spring.
Eden Ray (
@edenraymarsh ) is a multi-instrumentalist who strives to create for the sake of creating. To invoke unfamiliar and new feelings, and make one ask questions previously unasked. To give a glimpse into the magic of music that if we just keep living, it just might change the world. Eden collaborates with other innovators like Geordie Greep, Chammeili, and On a Limb, as part of a wave of new music. Eden’s music genre bends and pulls from jazz, rock, folk, and classical and mixes them together in a way that makes each component unknown. They plan to release their debut album early 2026.
Sink Soup is a high energy jazz/rock band based out of Brooklyn NY. With influences ranging from Radiohead to The Bad Plus, band leader and saxophonist Chaz Martineau (
@chazmartineau ) emphasizes creative interaction and melodic direction in his compositions. Chaz is joined by some of Brooklyn’s finest musicians, Eden Ray on bass, Jonas Esser on drums, and Rob Vega on the trumpet.
