A year ago today, my Mom took her final breaths at Memorial Sloan Kettering on 68th and York. Directly across the M66, on 65th and Amsterdam, my company of INTO THE WOODS at LaGuardia High School was preparing for their opening night performance. It was the most meaningful day of my life.

When Mikey said “photograph directors in their work space”, I imagined me at music stand with post-it notes chomping my nail beds in the last row of a preview. Instead, I got to inhabit the world of the @sparepartsplay play from the inside. @scottpennerdesign and @franklyimsean have made a stunning playground over at Theater Row, and Mikey made me feel like a visual artist stepping into my own painting. Thank you Mikey (and thank you @cujosephthal for the fashion advice.) Come see way more handsome men than me stand on this stage in Spare Parts running until April 30th

I freckin love the Tony Awards. I found out I was going four hours before the ceremony because my dear friend and collaborator seized an opportunity and brought me along, which feels like the thesis of my good luck in this industry. It is strange and sweet to want to be part of something really badly, and in that moment look around and realize you are. Congratulations to all the theater people everywhere who put up a play this season; I love being among you. And I am holding my JOB teammates in my heart (and teeth) … we were there!
