Three craft schools that I’m teaching at in 2026 🤩
@snowfarmcraft - Marriage of Metals: learn how to combine different alloys of metal to create patterns and imagery using soldering
@haystack_school - Wonder + Play: This workshop aims to teach you foundational metalsmithing and fabrication skills while infusing play, kinetics, movement, and mechanisms into everything we learn.
@petersvalley - Bezel Setting: This two day intensive class will teach you how to fabricate a bezel and set a cabochon stone. We will also learn how to tube set faceted gems.
More information and registration on the websites of each school. Let me know if you have any questions!
Come take my class @snowfarmcraft in beautiful western Massachusetts! We’ll learn how to fabricate using hot and cold methods. Using multiple metal alloys as our palette, we will create abstract and illustrative pattern and imagery that can be finished into jewelry, vessels, or other objects. Registration and more info snowfarm.org 🤩🔥
🧲⚡️Magnets - hiding one under the face of this brooch allows for the attachment/detachment of the arrows, which are also tipped with a tiny magnet. Did you know that you can order a magnet of almost any shape and size from K&J magnetics?
So nice to have photos of finished work! Thank you @a_c.images
I’m hoping to revisit more work with magnets as well as arrows and concentric circle (target) pattern. I’m excited to make more marriage of metals sheets and start distorting/warping/transforming with forming and rolling ⭐️
Pinwheel Ring!! 🌬️⭐️
A silver band circles your finger once, twice, three times before standing upright to present a miniature folded brass pinwheel. Add a little wind to see it whir to life, spinning and sparkling with its tube-set diamond center
My submission for #battleoftherings @danacadesignstudio It was not selected to be in the competition, but it was fun to make!
What a way to start the year with new and old friends @arrowmont_school for Pentaculum residency! For the raffle I made this brooch to commemorate our time there. After putting one rivet in the cleaver 🔪 I realized it moved so I left it and then set a CZ in the other divot ⭐️ thanks @freemanosabutey_arts for the stone - btw Freeman can flush set stones into wood!! 🤯
Everyone was so welcoming, inspiring, and kind. Thank you metals crew and @adamatkinson_art for facilitating such a great group 😍❤️
Ladders show up often in my jewelry and sculpture 🪜
My favorite ladder is in the Eric Carle book ‘Papa, please get the moon for me’. A young girl asks her dad to retrieve the moon - and he procures a ladder longer than the pages of the book (the image folds out) 🌕🪜✨
