Singer-songwriter Mia Bloom has shut down the Ferra Weapons Factory in Brisbane, calling on the federal government to acknowledge its complicity in the ongoing violence in Palestine and immediately cease arms exports to Israel.
Ferra Engineering in Tingalpa manufactures over 100 components for F-35 fighter jets, including weapon adapters that carry and release bombs. Ferra is the only company in the world producing this critical component—meaning every bomb dropped by Israeli F-35s is released using parts built in Brisbane. These jets are actively used in bombardment campaigns across Gaza that have killed tens of thousands of civilians, including children sheltering in schools, hospitals, and refugee camps. This supply chain bottleneck in Brisbane gives Australians unique leverage to disrupt weapons flow enabling documented war crimes.
The Australian government has maintained that it does not supply weapons to Israel, yet companies like Ferra continue to manufacture components for weapon systems that are deployed in documented attacks on civilian populations.
Mia Bloom is taking this action today on behalf of everyday Australians who say they can no longer remain silent as their government enables genocide through weapons exports.
Israeli naval forees intercepted, boarded, and systematically disabled and destroyed various boats on the Global Sumud Flotilla during a violent raid in international waters north west of Crete overnight, abducting over 175 peaceful activists at gunpoint and holding them hostage.

The Seeding has seen many seasons, even while still being just a little fledgling in our hearts and hands.
We have been a six piece band. We have seen players come and go. We have been a couple and we have split up. We have been up and down, in and out, and here we are, stronger than ever as a band, now just the two of us.
Through every iteration, friendship has been the bedrock. Coming back to the roots of our connection feels somehow deeper, more soulful and honouring of who we each are, so that we’re able to hold the project and the music we are creating now, more than ever before.
