As we count down to WSLA 2.0 on Thursday 2nd of April, we revisit the debut edition that first introduced Cairo to a shared vision for intentional, high-fidelity listening. The collaborative series between @SceneNoise , @WSLAexperience and host @Ceryle.eg on the Maadi Corniche, continues its mission of stripping away the noise to focus on listening.
The first editionâs musical programming featured two of Slovenia's most prolific selectors, Masha Gasar and Trulson. Coming from Ljubljana - a small but potent hotspot for electronic music - they arrived at WSLA unsure of what to expect from a Cairo crowd.
As they reflect in the video, that uncertainty quickly turned into a sense of familiarity. They found an audience that mirrored their own commitment to the craft of storytelling. Despite coming from a completely different âbubbleâ as they refer to it, the connection was immediate because the musical language was the same - a shared appreciation for sets that have depth and intent.
WSLA 2.0 brings that same focus back to Nile Corniche on April 2nd, this time with South Africa's Karmerr and Cairo favourites, Ramez and Omarino.

Hailing from Sloveniaâs raverâs paradise, Masha Gasar draws inspiration from a scene rich
with talentâyet brings her own cheeky flair to the dancefloor.
Her style blends uplifting
house tunes with electro-fueled energy, always playful, never boring.
In just a couple of
years, sheâs carved her path through the Ljubljana underground refining her sound in a tight
circle of like-minded friends.
After living in Vienna for 2 years, where she lit up dancefloors
and deepened her sonic identity, Masha returned to Ljubljanaâcharged and ready to stir
things up.
She recently joined Connections label and crew from Ljubljana.
