✨ On Tuesday, the @mexicultural team was honored at the @_cbca_ Business for the Arts Awards. @mexicultural received the prestigious 2025 Arts & Business Partnership Award alongside 7 other awardees and 4 individuals. MCC was recognized for its work that benefits and connects the arts and business sectors contributing to Colorado’s $2.8 billion dollar economic activity generated by the cultural sector. Since our inception we have been bridging the two sectors and creating beautiful collaborations. We want to say a very special thank you to the @_cbca_ , the selection committee, the artist who made our beautiful award @linda.g.bishara , to each of our partners, our board of directors and to every person that supports us. We additional extend a huge congratulations to each of the other honorees, we are inspired by you! We had an amazing time with so many friends and supporters. This special day celebrates the deep cultural, economic, and historical ties between Colorado and Mexico, recognizing the vibrant contributions of the Mexican community and the importance of cross-border collaboration and friendship. We are proud to share that an official proclamation was made declaring April 23, 2026 as Colorado–Mexico Friendship Day, further solidifying this meaningful partnership. A few weeks ago, we had the honor of co-hosting an extraordinary concert featuring acclaimed tenor Miguel Rangel, presented in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico in Denver. Held in the intimate setting of Studio Loft, the evening brought together community, culture, and the power of live music. This special concert was presented in celebration of Cinco de Mayo and Colorado 150, honoring the rich musical traditions of two of the Americas—Mexico and the United States. Through a beautifully curated program, guests experienced a moving journey across borders, histories, and shared cultural expression. MCC’s Executive Director Rachel Garcia and Consul General Pavel Melendez Cruz welcomed guests with remarks highlighting the importance of cultural diplomacy and the role of the arts in building bridges between communities. The evening was further distinguished by the presence of members of the Consular Corps and other esteemed guests from across the region. We are grateful to Paulina Estrada, who guided the evening as MC, and to Cody Garrison for his exceptional accompaniment on piano. Together, they helped create a performance that was both technically stunning and deeply emotional. From soaring high notes to heartfelt interpretations, Miguel captivated the audience and reminded us of the unifying power of music. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful night—and to our partners for helping bring it to life. 🎶 El mes pasado, presentamos un concierto extraordinario con el tenor Miguel Rangel, en colaboración con el Consulado General de México en Denver.
